Mr Jayant Sinha is an Indian politician who is a Member of the Indian Parliament and was formerly the Minister of State for Finance and the Minister of State for Civil Aviation in the Government of India. He quit his successful global career as a management consultant and an investor to join electoral politics.
About the Opportunity
The office of Mr. Jayant Sinha, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, and Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Finance is looking to hire interns in the areas of Policy Research, Strategy, and Communications for the duration of 2-3 months.
Mode of Internship
The internship will be offline but working from home on a case-by-case basis can be considered.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct research and provide insights on contemporary policy issues
- Work with the Research & Legislative Team to support the delivery of key research outputs
- Conduct research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
- Devise a strategy plan for communications, to be executed across platforms
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure brand consistency
- Carry out research into local, constituency-related issues as required, ensuring the team is made aware of any relevant issues
- Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and other relevant applications.
- Support the organisation and delivery of events.
- Provide ad-hoc assistance to other team members as required.
Eligibility Criteria
- Enrolled in Undergraduate courses in any discipline
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to prioritise multiple activities and competing demands
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
- Knowledge of research methods is desirable but not essential
- Most importantly, the “3Cs” that Mr Sinha always looks for in an individual: Competence, Character, and Compassion.
